Summer Camp – Saturday

Summer Camp – Saturday

Had a great journey over, arriving to glorious sunny weather. Tents went up no trouble and we moved in to our site nicely before the rain began. The field is pretty soggy but spirits are high. Our menu this week is foods of the world following our Olympic theme. We started in England for evening meal with bangers and mash. Our pop bottle rocket launcher had it’s first outing after tea and impressed everyone with its ability to send a pop bottle high above the campsite. The Scouts had their first swim in the lake of the week before settling down for hot soup and a run through of all the badges we are having a go at this week. Just before bed the rain stopped and we were treated to a glorious view of the moon over Skiddaw.
