We had a trip out today to GoApe at Grizedale Forest for a “tree top adventure”. This was the big activity that the Scouts chose from what was available in the area. There was a mixture of climbs, and challenges to do in the trees withe each of the six areas finishing with a zip line. Area six had the toughest challenge, a swing that turns into a zip line landing you in a giant cargo net. The Scouts agreed that it was a fantastic activity. We’re particularly proud of the ones that conquered their fear of heights. When we got back to the camp site we have tea and a huge chocolate cake to celebrate Sean’s 14th birthday. It was pretty sweet having a birthday party at GoApe with a whole bunch of your friends. We finished the day in the leader’s tent playing the ticktock game and Heads Up on Mr Lloyds phone.
